I will give you two views...,

[1] PESSIMIST VIEW:
..... at the rate the world is going with the nuclear threats and spreading Middle East religious violence.., I would think the rediscovery of the bicycle and light-bulb will be the biggest technological breakthrough for the new millennium.

[2] OPTIMIST VIEW:
..... While I don't see your a-typical futuresque full fledged flying cars, I do think there will be cars that float or hover about a foot off the road thanks to a new anti-grav drive system. These cars will have no pollution and be fueled by ions in the air.

Thats my best guess. Only one of two roads will be remotely true.

I'm looking forward to hologram television sets.

We'll have to say goodbye to our DVDs and videocassettes.

And cars that run on water.

well it have already been develope . a new smaller weapon of wmd .maybe a car to save fuel
