all religion was created by man...it all depends on the way you perceive it...

Please listen and understand.., the Bible itself will inform you that men wrote the letters, wrote sentences, formed phrases..., all the things that men do to write anything.

Where did you get the idea that God sat down with pen and paper in hand and wrote the Bible?

Here's the dividing line between just writings of men and the Bible. God "moved" - "inspired" - "urged" - "influenced" these men to write and what to write about.

While its not exactly the same thing, I suppose the closest analogy I can draw for you is this; Have you ever wrote a poem? Something moved you. Beauty, perhaps a man or woman you cared about was an inspiration..., something.., some force inspired you to write.

Again - its not that simply put in explaining how God moves mankind to do certain things - but it should give you a crude idea. In the one example I gave you, these other inspirations provided fuel for the poem or story, you provided the drive..., but in the example of Bible authors, God was the fuel and drive, providing the direction.

Good Point. I can't believe people are answering by saying that it was "God inspired". How the hell do they know? The Bible is a work of mythology. Yes, it contains valuable messages, but, then again, don't fairy tales also contain messages/themes? You are right-no different from a fairy tale.

Shows what you know. Although it was written by man, it was inspired by God.

Although it reads like a fairy tale, it has scientific reveltions that explained how solar system worked, seasons change and even propheticaly explains through the ages the anomalies in weather, violence, pestilence and violence that occurs today. It may be unexplainable to some and some feel it is to elementary. void of scientific dogma to be believed, but I've seen its wonders and the great effects of faith.

Written by man inspired by God. It is very different than fairy tales if you open your closed, sealed mind.

Thats exactly right, it is much like a fairy tale, much like history books where the history is written by the victorious, not usually the losers.... its basically what is called his story, because its not really the truth story but HIS story lol.

Being that it was written by men, don't you find it a little strange that it says refraim from adultery and even looking at a woman in lust? Hmmm... guess those men who wrote it "on their own" were in a coma that day!

And since a decision was made as to what would go into it and not, that seems like a degree of censorship
