how exactly is this better for the iraqis?

the iraqis were never a threat to the US, they never stated as such, and had no weapons to achieve that goal had they expressed a desire to attack US soil.

The civillian Iraqis that are dying are at the hands of terrorists blowing up bombs without care whom gets killed, shooting indescriminately and kidnapping/killing people at randomn.

Ask yourself this question. How many Iraqi people strapped on a C4 waistcoat and blew themselves to oblivion when hussein was in power? Iraqis would sooner die than live under occupied rule.

If you live in the U.S. it's going to be hard to get an answer that is not just U.S. government sponsored propaganda. The current real estimate is that Bush has killed 650,000 Iraqis. The Bush regime claims that the death toll is much less.
