Spot on. The Yanks seem to think they are the only country than can do anything they want, and usually do if it is in their interest. They don"t give a **** about anyone else. Wouldn"t it be nice if they just kept their efin nose out of North Korea and left it to the Chinese. The communist administration in China are certainly not happy with the situation, and they have the money and means to eliminate the threat "all on their own". You certainly upset a few yanks posing your question, but hey, who cares. I don"t for one. I was reading another answer from a yank who is so far up Bush"s **** it"s not true. He said the economy was great, 180,000 new jobs in last 3 years. How many of these were in the "armament industry and replacement for the Marines killed in Iraq? Gun toting cowboys the lot of them.

1) Americans aren't a "race." We are conglomerate of all races.
2) Do you understand why we bombed Japan in 1945? Could you come up with a better solution?
3) I agree we interfere too much in the affairs of other countries. Prior to WWI we were isolationist. The sinking of the Lusitania killed 128 Americans and Americans pressured the then-president into involvment in WWI out of retribution. We tried to stay isolationist when Germany was making short work of the rest of Europe and Japan was ravaging the Pacific. The Japanese invaded and Germany declared war on us first. Where we screwed up and became premptive was under President Truman. I'm one American who would prefer us to be isolationist.
4) Even if the US elimated our nuclear arsenal others still have nuclear weapons.
5) Force our beliefs? Our ultimate belief is that every man, woman, and child shall have "the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" (Declaration of Independence). I agree we go about it all wrong, but that's a better belief than the Taliban would truly force on everyone - and I do mean force.
6) Keep in mind that Bush's term ends January 2009 after we elect another president. He cannot and will not be president after that.

Oh dear (\ G®1M R34|Dê® /) Please get your facts right, and not show yourself up for the ignorant Ignoramus that you are. Our Queen Is Head of State. She Has no power over Parliament, she can't vote, why she can't even enter our Lower House!. (Parliament you know, a two house system, just like the American system, which you based on the British system.) The Prime Minster Mr Blair calls the shots not the Queen (Prime Minster Blair or "Yo Blair" as your Turkey of a Prez calls him, very respectful!) Mr Blair was elected by the people of Britain, and he won fairly. He didn't need to cheat, or call on his Brother to fix the votes of the State that he represented. As for getting rid of the Queen, of Course we can, just like we did with Charles the 1st, we beheaded him, and declared Ourself a commonwealth. But after a few years we knew we had made a mistake, and crowned Charles the 2nd King. Sorry this is History, which of course you would have very little knowledge of, having so very little of your own!. Our Queen is non-political and doesn't have to spend obscene amounts of money to get elected every 4 years!. So as you said " GOD SAVE THE QUEEN", and God Bless America she needs all the help she can get! lol.

We should all care very much and be fearful.
The USA is an extremely powerful military country, full of many good, well meaning and generous people who really do care, but the current leaderships policies is leading them to hell with or without their consent.
I like the USA and its people (I have lived in the USA) but do not agree with the current US governments foriegn policy.
Look at the polls in the US, more than half the US population is also unhappy with the current situation.

Who really cares? Well, I'm afraid to tell you, with the armoury they have, and the yearnings to crush anyone outside the 'nuclear cosy club', we aught to worry about not only people outside America, but the ones within who has been against the decisions of their presidents for many years now.
Not all 'Yanks' swing the way of 'kicking butt' attitude...not because they are seen as soft beatniks or wailing libertarians, but because they realise not all the world find their politics (concerning foreigners AND certain sections of their countrymen) something to feel joy about.

I think the only people talking about force are ones on here who have no idea what that means (O and I expect when they suggest someone doing that, they like George and Dick mean for someone else to do the dirty work).

Good to see you are up of the options Truman had 60 years ago.

As for the threat to mankind I suppose your Daddy or Grandfather (whatever) would have felt the same 65 years ago or maybe not.

Well, I care what the yanks think because I am one. But, I am not a big fan of the way our society acts as a whole. We don't need to be the world policeman - or big brother - or whatever. And we need to quit pretending that our s**t doesn't stink.

It's a country full of hypocrisy.

So...you would have preferred that hundreds of thousands of US soldiers have died taking Japan block by block rather than ending the war in less than a week.

I also find it interesting that you think it is a good idea that North Korea have a stock of nuclear weapons.

Let me guess...you are French.

They are obsessed with belittling anyone who says bad about them. They will have problems when the Asians challenge them. They won't know what's hit them.

Sometimes the world has to take a stand. The USA often takes a stand BUT I don't always agree with just where they chose to make their stands.
