There's a chance that the blow dryer will fry the insides of the iPod, making it a complete loss. If this JUST happened, put it in the cripser drawer in your fridge. The crisper drawer sucks moisture out of things, that's why you keep fresh fruit and veggies down there. Keep it in there for a while.... a few hours at least. If it's not working, put it back in there. If it still doesn't turn on after like 6 hours.... well...... they have new nanos in color!

Oh, and Apple can determine water damage.... physical damage/abuse is not covered by the warranty. That's like saying it's okay to throw your tv in the pool because you have a warranty with Sony. That ain't happening!

I'll sell you my 1GB nano for a hundred bucks!

Could be many things. I'd call Apple & see if they still support it. If not, check a local repair place.

Be prepared for the repair cost - It'll probably be expensive. You'll have to decide whether or not it is worth keeping. You could check EBay or with local shops if any are being sold.

I'd try to dry it out, if it still doesn't work check on eBay for a used one... parts for the mini will cost almost as much as buying a used one.

Burn your house down, and then report it as a loss. You'll get a check for a new one from the insurance company.

blow dry it, then try reseting it to see if it will turn on, you can also try charging it. if this doesn't work, and you still have a warrant on it, you can take it to an apple store and talk to them about getting a replacment. good luck!

maybe try to dry it out with a hairdryer, or maybe try to take it apart and let it dry out, although i'd try the first one before the second
