I am 15. I have been in dance class for about 3 months. I plan on attending American Musical Dramatic Acadamy (acting school) after highschool to become an actress. I want to have really good form, strength, and technique.

Confidence is key. Also, do 30 kicks a day (15 on your right, 15 on your left) to improve leg muscle and flexibility, splits on all 3 sides each day (1 minute each) to improve flexibility, 100 crunches and 25 pushups to improve abs and strength, and 30 tendues (pointing of the toe) on each side to improve technique. I dance 6 days a week for four hours and doing these excericises will really help.

P.S. The Nike saying says it all, just do it!

(Not just go for it)

If it's form you want, you should take yoga classes. If it's strength of your diaphragm muscles and voice projection you want to practice, take a few voice lessons, foreign language lessons, and speech/public speaking classes. If finances are an issue, join a church choir and go to the YMCA for the yoga classes. The other classes will be avilable in your high school. I take it you are already in the drama department, taking classes there? Check your community listings for community theater events and college level drama department events. Make friends with people and listen to their advice. Stay healthy and take care of your body. Hang out with friends who are loyal to you, inspire you, and don't try to influence you to be anything other than you are. Stay focused on your goals. When faced with peer pressure, ask yourself if your choices will help you achieve your goals or impede you.
Stay strong and don't let the world affect you; stay strong and affect the world.
