We had a house fire that was declared accidental by the fire marshal but the insurance investigator said it wasnt. So they refused to pay out. How long do i have to file a lawsuit against them? This is in the state of Ohio.

It depends on the policy, unless Ohio has a relevant statutory provison.

Policies often address that issue. Your lawyer can extend the limit by written stipulation with the insurer.

It is a STATUTE, not STATUE of limitations. Check with your Fire Marshall. He ought to be able to give you the time frame for the statute of limitations.
