I think it's possible, but it's a damn fine line. I guess it all depends on how you met the other person. If one of the people has sexual feelings for the other, it's unlikely it will last. This also depends on relationship status. I personally find it much easier to be friends with the opposite sex as a married man.

It's very easy if that's all that both of them want out of the deal.

If one is crushing on the other and it's unrequited, then it's going to be very difficult until the one who's crushing gets the hell over it.

Oh, and it becomes even easier once one or both of the people in the friendship gets married to someone else. That or you lose the friend, in which case you know he was only hanging around 'cause he was hoping to get his claws into you first.

It's very rare that a guy will honestly think of a girl as a friend. I can't say it doesn't happen, but we don't usually spend alot of time with female "friends" if we aren't interested in them becoming more. Most men are that way, even those guys that women think are the geeky nice guys. They just have no sack to express this.

Yes. They still may want a little something extra, but so long as they are both getting 'something' somewhere, it should be fine. Although time will eventually win out and someone will fall for the other but friendships usually don't last for all that long.

Absolutely. There is no question about that. I have had many male friends throughout my life, and still do today, even while married. It all depends on if the two people involved. Some people, are incapable of that type of relationship, though.

as long as they are both on the same page, and one doesn't expect more in the future, cause i made the mistake because i dont jump into relationships, so i became friends with girls I was interested in, and began to get to know them, and as time passed they stopped thinkin of me as a guy they would ever have a relationship with cause I was such a good friend... whatever, but i figured that if your both on the same page you'll be ok, but I'll let you in on a secret a guy will lie about that "just friends" bit, friends are girls we haven't ****** yet, so do the math and if its geniune then whatever

If there is absolutely no attraction what-so-ever. If there is any form of physical attraction, forget it. I have tried to have just a friendship with men and it works for me just fine if I am not attracted to them. If I am, forget it. It doesn't mean I'll cheat, but it makes it very hard to just be friends. But if you are asking this for fear someone you love will cheat on you, you must have trust!! Hope this helps.

Yes. He or she may have the occasional sexual fantasy about the other, or, in the case of the man, he may try to sneak a peek down her shirt from time-to-time, but they can still be friends.

Somehow I think you are really asking if a man can be friends with a woman without trying to sleep with her.

NO. UNLESS they both don't find each other attractive at all.

There is no way men and women can be friends unless one is gay or neither find each other attractive.

men will always want to sleep with the women.
women will always want the attention of the man.

if you don't believe me... ask the other person. would you like to have some fun.. no-strings sex? just once? with me?
