call imediatly, apoligize, say you had an unavoidable incident, /emergency, or something that is your words.

ask if they would please concider rescheduling, you are interested.

and make double sure it don't happen again if you indeed get the chance.

Tell them you were sick because you are! How do you expect to get to work on time anyway? When you have an interview to attend, you prepare yourself and that includes setting an alarm. Let this be a lesson. A good night'sleep is important before the big day, but oversleeping!

I would say forget about that job and get a better alarm clock for the next interview.

Well, you can try but they may not be interested since you didn't show up in the first place. You've already gotten off on the wrong foot so write this one off and move ahead. Also - set he alarm on your cell phone since your clock does not seem to be working.

Anything you tell them will seem like an excuse. I agree, just keep looking.

Not every opportuntiy is right for us. Trust that something better will come along.

I wouldn't tell them anything. I would skip that interview and get yourself a MORE RELIABLE ALARM clock! If you cannot haul your *** out of bed for an interview, I doubt you will EVER find a job!
