can you take an at-home-pregnancy test and it be accurate? My husband and I haven't been trying long yet, but I'm so excited to be pregnant!!! Any honest help will be much appreciated!!!

In order for the best accuracy, you should wait until you miss your period. There are some test where women have tested 4-5 days before their missed periods, and have gotten positive results. However, I would wait just to be sure. I know its hard and you're very anxious, but you don't want to get a false result either. Once you do get a positive you should go to the Dr. to confirm with a blood test. Try this website www.mymonthlycycles.com to help you figure out your fertile days. It worked for me! you typically ovulate 14 days after you period, so if you have sex that day, you would be due for a period in 2 more weeks, then you could take a test.

i found out i am pregnant when i was 1 day late for my period

as soon as you miss your period would be more accurate. some tests you can take up to five days before you miss your period. i have not tried that one though.
