You use a magnet and put it over a pile of those screws and the magnet will lift out the steel ones.

Put a magnet into a plastic bag, pick up the nails with the magnet turn the plastic bag inside out and pull the nails away from the magnet now you have a bag of nails and no picking them off the magnet, now you can go back and see if you missed any.

Big ol' magnet - an electro magnet could be especially handy, when you turn it off, the nails drop off.
