I do believe they can see 'spiritual stuff' too, mostly the world is so new to them so they are fascinated by every little thing. A tack on the wall, shadows, dust particles in the sun, etc... All things busy adults tend to miss or have become accustomed to.

I am so glad that you asked this.

My 3 month old baby looks and laughs at something near the ceiling all the time. It use to creep me out, but not anymore.
Even when I'm feeding her she'll turn and look toward it (there is absolutely nothing there) and stop sucking and start smiling.

I wish I had an answer but am curious to find out also.

Babies see shadows and light differently and mabye its very enchanting to them, I dont think they are staring at a ghost personally, but thats just me..mabye the smiling and crying is just gas pains? And the baby isnt so much staring at a ghost but looking off into space as he concentrates on the feelings in his/her body that is causing the discomfert of strange sensations.

I believe yes, they do. When I am changing one of my twins diapers or just holding them, they will be gazing off somewhere and I say to them, "Whatcha looking at? Are you looking at the Angels?" I know babies can see what we do not see. They are more in tune with the spirit world per se. Like, I am sure my twins see Jesus and talk to him. It is awesome. It is a shame the older we get we lose that innocence.

Babies are just pure is all.

Hope this helps you.

Yes. My son does this more often then my daughter. He will look up and smile, even laugh out loud.

Some people say babies/children can see those that have passed over. Apparently babies and children are more receptive to this then adults.
Is it true? I have no idea :)

Yes definitely!! My 4 month old plays with spirits all the time. I have personal short time babysitters! When I go to the bathroom and he is in his bed it seems as if something immediately deters his attention from me leaving. I refer to them as his angels. I ask him " are you playing with your angels again?" and he cracks up laughing! It actually witnessed it again this morning as I got dressed for work. They seem to be above his head and he will laugh and play looking above his head, and look from me back to the empty air above his head if I am present. He is named after his uncle that passed away and he is a miracle baby that they did not expect me to carry full term due to me having emergency abdominal surgeryduring my 2nd month of pregnancy. So I am not surprised! I am sure since babies are innocent and so new to this world that is why spirits enjoy their company. I am not concerned, I ask God to keep him covered in the Blood of Jesus and protect him from anything that is unclean or not of God. God Bless!

It all depends on the age of the baby. They cannot actually focus on things that are very far away from them. As they grow their sight becomes more focused.

Hey anyone could see spiritual things. But babies may be able to see them batter because they haven't been taught by the world that they aren't real yet.

I firmly believe that babies can see things we can't- my daughter is always staring off into space, as if she is watching something.
