Absolutely. I've heard that any opposite sex friendship is only about sex even if neither side admit it. That is absolute hogwash. I have several friends that are in no way anything more than friends. Why should you limit your friendships to the same gender? That's silly. MOST of the time male/females have a sexual tension of some kind. But not always...there are no set in stone rules with that. If it's ok with your spouse...it's ok. If it makes them uncomfortable - try resolving that. Explain it and try working it out. One of my best friends is on his 3rd wife :) they have all accepted me as his friend. I am his friend and no way at all anything other than that. Never ever not one time has anything sexual come close to happening. Kind of creeps me out to think about it. ew. I have a friend that I hang out with occasionally. I love him to death. My spouse is ok with it most of the time :) Kind of jealous, but not more than when I hang with the girls. If it's only friendship...then Cherish it. Good friends are hard to find and few and far between. Hope that helps. :)

Only if your wife doesn't feel any kind of threat, i.e. emotional, physical, concerning the "girl" friend. Your wife should be your best friend that you share everything with. If you would invite the friend over to your house and your wife see's that there is nothing more than friendship, try that. If you don't think she'd like it, don't do it.

No, sorry- those days are over. It's totally inappropriate for married men to cavort with other girl "friends" - it's bending the vows to the point of possibly breaking them.
