If it's the a newer one, there will be a two large bolts on the tailpiece/bridge assembly. Using a large straight screwdriver, adjust the one on the bass side by backing it out a half turn to a turn, and check to see if the buzz goes away, it might take 2 or 3 turns.

If its just buzzing on those two strings its most likely that the saddle/ bridge is set too low. If the truss rod needed adjusted it would probably buzz on all strings. Adjust in very small increments like a 1/4 turn on the adjusters at a time. Too much adjustment could change the intonation of those strings or raise the strings to high. Shimming should only become a remedy if the neck were twisted longitudinaly (like a corkscrew) and I think I'd replace the neck at that point. Alternative tunings on those strings might cause that also and the remedy would be the same.

the "bolt in the neck" that is the truss rod. That is only used to straighten the neck. If you are buzzing on the low E and A. You might have to take off the neck and place and small shim. About the witch of a business card under it. You might have to go thicker or thinner until you get what you are looking for. Also, raising the Saddles down at the bridge also works sometimes, just depends on who bad the buzz is.

Your action is set too low. Raise the bridge. If you have no experience, take it in to have a pro do it, as you could mess your guitar up worse and have it not properly setup.
