Limewire is a legal peer-to-peer file sharing program allowing millions to connect at once and share there files. Most are ILLEGAL including music. Yes you can turn mp3, wma and other music formats into a music CD that will play in most CD players but you will need a separate program to do that. Winamp, RealPlayer and Windows Media Player all have this function, you may find that it is easier in Windows Media Player or RealPlayer.

The program is legal, what you do with it depends if it's legal or not, downloading copyrighted music, whether you have the CD or not, is illegal, downloading a video game is only illegal if you don't already own the game in any format. Other things like documents and pictures I'm not sure of.

just like Napstar all that time ago, the progam LimeWire is legal,
downloading songs and movies is illegal because they are copywrited material. Napstar got stoped for this and it will only be a matter of time before File-sharing of music gets stoped.
The idea of FileSharing is to SHARE FILES - take that anyway you want...

the progam is legal,
downloading copywrited materials( songs/videos) is illegal

I beleive copywrite law allows you to make 1 backup copy of media you actually own ( in the even the original gets damaged)
but not your buddies cd, or movie.

i don't know if its legal - but once you have downloaded your songs you can burn them onto a cd with realplayer...or sonic record now..or loads of other burning tools...its great!!
The cd's don't always play very well on some players - start skipping etc if played alot - but its still worth it as cd-r's are sooo cheap!...that reminds me....i gotta get some more! :-)
