Should he ever be allowed to enter the "Baseball Hall of Fame?" And, why should he be allowed in after all the lies and after the way he treated the Baseball Commissioner? I kinda' feel bad about the whole sorry affair with him.

If not the Hall of Fame...How about managing a pro baseball team someday? How would that fly with you and the fans?

No. The man is a liar cheat and a thief. he should not be allowed anywhere The Hall of Fame. Not even as a paying customer.
Clearly he signed a waiver saying why he was banned from baseball.
The man (I use that term loosely) shouldn't even be allowed to coach his grandkids softball teams.
I have absolutely no pity for that man.

Wouldn't it e nice if just for once, Pete Rose wandered off into the sunset and disappeared to live a normal, lie free, gambling free life and stopped worrying about his own glorification?? He is NOT going into the Hall of Fame and has been barred from baseball for life. How long do we need to continue to answer questions about what has already been resolved a multitude of times on this site alone??
Chow!!

I believe he should be. He made it to Hall on his play not how he could gamble or coach. He should not be allowed to be part of any organization but yes he should be in the Hall. I brought my son there last year and I remember having to tell him about the two most famous players not there Rose and Shoeless Joe. How do you let a criminal like Ty Cobb in and not Rose should be your question? If you can come up with a good reason for that other than the rules I would like to see because on of the stipulations in voting for the Hall is supposed to be ethics.

Let Pete in! The Hall of Fame should be for players that excelled on the field. This whole ban is ridiculous.

He earned his spot in the Hall of Fame by how well he played. He shouldn't be allowed to manage a team anymore.

Let Pistol Pete in the HOF, but he should not be allowed to manage or have any affiliations with professional baseball. He was one of the best players ever and needs the recognition that is deserved. There are plenty of examples of people in the HOF who had less than perfect pasts.

after a sizzling offense machane that averaged 8 hrs, 60 rbis and 303 average for twenty three years how can you not make that machine a hall of famer. he is the most overated player ever. look at his stats and you will find a man that never had over 82 rbis, never hit more than 14 hrs and never stole more than 20 bases. a completely average hitter... now let me tell you about what kind of a person ol pete is...

Pete belongs in the Hall of Fame for sure. He will never be remembered as role model for sure, but his game was good and he was never accused of throwing a game. he was only accused of betting on them.

I think he should be allowed in after he dies. He was an incredible player, but does not deserve the same recognition as people like Stan Musial and Satchel Page.
