I won't answer your question as you've asked but why are you selfish? Aren't they MY black people too? Actually, you are all my people if you are a human being!
Just some food for thought. Take care and have a great day!!!

The "N" word originates from the latin word meaning black. In spanish it is ***** (naygro). It became the N word to place ignorence on the black race. A "N" is an ignorent black man or woman. It means you are less than or not suitable. We use this word ( not me personally) to turn a negetive into a positive, or to take control over a hurtful word that was used against us for so long. To most of us it is not 'cool' or 'hip hop'. My grandparents and parents were abused with that word growing up, and I would never disrespect them by using it as well. It is a personal choice for each of our people. I personally don't think white people have the right to say it. No one ever called a white person a "Hon-key" while stringing them up a tree. So there is no comparison. White, Asian, Hispanic or other, simply should NOT use the word. As for black people, they shouldn't either because it displays weakness.

As a Black person, I'm very familiar with this question. I dont use the word, because I understand how white people made it up a long time ago to degrade our entire race.
Unfortunately in today's time, the word N i g g a has been urbanized, the word has been taken very lightly over the years from my younger black American generations. Sadly, some of us black teens are not educated on how serious the meaning of the word Ni g g e r is and what it entails. The way our ancestors died over the word should be enough reason to stop.
I feel that people should be very aware of how degrading and offensive the words *** ga or *** ger are. Whether it be inside the black race or not. Its Racist and shouldn't even be heard in the average rap song.
The reason I think our generation (HIP HOP GENERATION) uses the word so freely, is to prove a point. The meaning of the word is flipped and taken as a positive, to basically say...A WORD LIKE THIS CAN NO LONGER BRING ME DOWN.
But, what I dont understand is, why when someone other than a black person calls us a *** ga, we still get offended and want to fight. Jennifer Lopez used the word *** ga in one of her songs. She's not black, she's Hispanic, and it caused another huge controversy between the blacks and hispanics (Black vs Brown)
If my younger relatives were to use that word, I educate them and let them know what it really means. I let them know that even if your favorite celebrity uses the word *** ga, it's still not okay. When they get older, they can make their own decision on whether they want to use the word or not

***** is a term used in African-American Vernacular English that began as an eye dialect form of the word ****** (which is derived from the Spanish word *****, meaning black, which in turn comes from Latin niger.)
Rapper Tupac Shakur stated, "****** - a black man with a slavery chain around his neck; ***** - a black man with a gold chain on his neck." Demonstrating how the term has evolved significantly over time and that there is a distinction between the implication behind the use of ***** and ******. In practice, its use and meaning is heavily dependent on context. Tupac Shakur also defined the term ***** as an acronym: "Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished" in the lyrics to his song "Words of Wisdom," on his 1991 album 2Pacalypse Now. Comedian Marlon Wayans defines the term as "Naturally Intelligent God-Gifted Africans" after launching a clothingline called N.I.G.G.A. in early 2006.
As of 2006, the word ***** is used, without intentional prejudice, among all ethnicities in the United States, including African-Americans, Asian-Americans, Hispanics, and more recently by some White peoples. [1] [2] [3]
Many people continue to see the word as pejorative and its use outside African-American communities remains highly controversial. Many African-Americans express considerable offense when referred to as a ***** by white people (mainly due to the overtones[citation needed]), but not if they are called the same by other African-Americans. In this case, the term may be seen as a symbol of fraternity, and its use outside a defined social group an unwelcome cultural appropriation. Critics have derided this as a double standard. [4]
The use of the controversial word may be due to the overwhelming popularity of Hip Hop music in modern American culture. Such music often features songs that feature the word ***** prominently. Examples include: 50 Cent and The Notorious B.I.G.'s song, Realest ******, The Geto Boys' Real ***** ****, Ice Cube's The Wrong ***** To **** With, Snoop Doggy Dogg's For All My ****** And Bitches, Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz and Ice Cube's Real ***** Roll Call, Onyx's Bitchasniguz, Kanye West's Crack Music, Tupac's Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., and the late Ol' Dirty Bastard's album ***** Please.
In the first season of Mind of Mencia, Carlos Mencia explains the the distinction between the N words. Method Man guest stars in the skit going into detail about the matter. One point was that Latinos using the term were accepted. The skit finishes with Carlos calling the DMV for a vanity plate. The DMV didn't allow the use of the N word, yet allowed a derogatory term for Latinos to be used.

because when we say it to each other its ok, we say it in a brotherly love kind of way, you know like from the hood. now, when a white guy says it it sounds so racial just they are white and because it was the white people who gave us that name. when we say n199a we mean it like brotha. we feel comfortable when we call each other like that but not when a white person does

I agree with you 100%!!!! It really makes us blacks look kinda dumb. We all know where it originated... and we also know that there are quite a few people who are not black that would LOVE to call us ****gers every chance they get. And probably do, when we're not around. We'd be ready to fight them at the drop of a dime. But, when our friend says it, its supposed to be "cool".
