I couldn't find much about it in the search engine, so I wasn't sure if it was real or a made up Psychological condition. I got it from a Dean Koontz book...lol so maybe it's something he came up with. Anyone know what i'm referring to?

Megalomania is not the same as narcissism (extreme self love). It is a feeling of a sense of godly like grandiose at all times.

It is not made up because you're now reading the texts of a megolomaniac right infront of your eyes.

As far as I know, Megalomania is sort of a god complex. Its a thought process where one believes that one is at the same level of kings and gods, even in a mundane setting such as day to day life.

Wikipedia offers the following:
Megalomania ( from the Greek word μεγαλομανία) is a psychopathological condition characterised by delusional fantasies of wealth, power, or omnipotence. It includes an obsession with grandiose or extravagant things or actions. It is sometimes symptomatic of manic or paranoid disorders.

It's real. It's usually someone who believes that they're infallible/can do no wrong. Misadjusted ego. Try looking under 'narcissism'. Not necessarily the same thing, but one is a condition of the other. For example, some people would call Donald Trump a megalomaniac. Or P. Diddy. Or Bill Clinton.

Yes, I've heard of it. Dean Koontz did not invent the word. Try looking in the dictionary. See my reference below.

Yes it refers to someone who is absolutely obsessed with power. Most successful world leaders are megalomaniacs. They seek and enjoy wielding power. In and of itself, megalomania is not bad. It is what the person in power does with his/her power that is a measure of his/her worth as a leader.

Chow!!
