I here people say thay are survivors. Is there really a definition or explanation as to what that means?

It just means that you had cancer. Any kind of cancer. And it was either removed or has gone into remission with chemo or radiation. You have survived it. I had breast cancer in 1999. They removed it. I went through 2 rounds of chemo and I finally got a clear CT scan--no more cancer. That was 7 years ago--I am a survivor.

Don't make it too complicated.

I think it is five years that you have to wait.
