I think she's the hottest female in this solar system.
And I think her music is great... not that I like it... I don't buy her records!..... But you can hear that the writing is very good. The production she applies in her albums is one of the best!!

Shakira's music is NOT annoying. She has written and recorded over 80 songs, you know - not just "Hips Don't Lie." Have you even heard her other songs? She is an amazing singer, songwriter and producer.
And to the person who said she "slept her way to the top:" Shakira has been writing her OWN songs since she was 8 years old, and she has been recording albums with Sony since she was 13. She made it to the top because her first major single, "Donde Estas Corazon," was a huge success and so was every album since then. She didn't need to sleep with anyone to make it, and she didn't need Sony to "manufacture" her into a pop princess either. Her TALENT made her what she is - it is all her.

Her Spanish music is much better. It's like in English she's trying to get "street cred" or something, but her folksy songs in Spanish are fantastic, melodic and well-written. She's been a star for a long time, since she was like 14 in her native Colombia, so now in her 20s, she's an old pro and a very talented musician.

Because it's just like all pop music. producers try to make their girls hot( or pick girls they think people will like) so that people get hooked, but they are not really hooked to the music... I for example never liked britney spears..and everyone did.. And she's not even hot. Shakira is not hot to me but maybe for you an others she is.

Shakira is hot cause she is South American.

is this not true with most hot girls.
looks smooking in a bikini but talks about shoes all day. its the endless battle of the mind vs the pennis.
they know there their hot, and most men let them get away with it. just like you would probably let youre hot girl fried play her shakira cd in your car.
