Why is kitesurfing not an olympic sport?

because it's too boring. unless you're talking full contact kite-surfing.

Probably for two main reasons:

An Olympic sport has to be participated in by countries on every Continent (I guess there aren't many kite surfers in Africa), and it's Governing Body has to be recognised as a sport by the International Olympic Committee.

Not all sports can get into the olympics.

Give it time to gain in poularity, then it will be included. After all, something stupid like curling is an Olympic sport???

Not sure. If you think it should become one though you should start practicing and talk to them about making it one! I think it'd be cool to watch! Good luck!
