Can a man ever wear an open shirt (eg, open down to the chest), with a chain or medallion without looking sleazy? Or gold wrist chains/ larger rings?

I mean if the rest of his appearance was good (nice suit, shirt, teeth/ hair etc etc), could he pull it off or is it just a no-no?

I dont think the open shirt with all the bling bling is very attractive. Now if a man has on the suit and wants to wear a gold bracelet and ring then thats ok..., but wearing a bunch of that crap isnt ok with me... so not attractive

Of course you can. do remember about first impressions. going to a job interview with that look would be fruitless.
flip side.. at a club, beach or around the house. Hot days, parties.

However: the look you are describing makes me reminisce about SNL's "Two Wild and Crazy Guy's" skit.

It looked good the first time around, for a short while I add, but too many UGLY men thought it did it for them, and the whole effect was ruined!
