Why?
Why is snvffy such a jerk? I would like to see questions like "why do credit card companies offer credit to people who can't control their spending, and have bad credit already?".....or "When will they take responsibility for their poor credit investigations?".....Why don't you pass any blame on the creditors?
Why?
Why don't people do their research before answering questions here? Do they like it when I come on and point out their poor, incorrect answers?
britetige??? girl_in70??? Lady01lov????
You guys listening? Do you ever supply sources where people can verify your info? No, because you don't research it! No problem, I will always be around to correct you.
In California, it's 4 years on oral contracts "reduced to writing". It's 2 years if nothing is in writing. Where do you come up with 7 years?
See the link below for complete info, plus legal referances and other help.

It's 7 years from the date the company last reported to the credit bureaus. Some companies are sneaky and will report to your credit reports before your 7 years is up to start the time over.

How comforting it would have been if your question had been "How can I possibly pay this credit card bill??"
If it's your bill and there is no error, then PAY IT !!! If you need help get Dave Ramsey's book The Total Money Makeover.

he's right, it's seven years from the date of last payment.
But if you make any payment on it after that, it activates the account and you pretty much have to start all over again.
