Tom Brady, not the best athelete, but his 3 rings show he's the best playing the game.

Brian Urlacher, Larry Johnson, Ray Lewis, LT, Randy Moss, McNabb, Carson Palmer, Shaun Alexander, Tony Gonzalez, Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, The NFL is such a tight league that you can't really decide a best player.

This is hard because I count being best as being the best player on the field right now, not past accomplishments. That eliminates Peyton, and LT who were both once the best but not anymore.

Ok, here's my answer. You might be like "no, he's not the best". I'm talking about if you took every player in the NFL and redrafted everybody, this guy would be #1. Julius Peppers.

The best overall player in the game today is Peyton Manning. If we are talking about the most athletic player, I would say Bush or LT, but if you were starting a team and needed a player to run it all, there is no one smarter or better then Peyton.

It is difficult to choose the best player, because each position plays a different way. But if I were to choose one player, it would be Donovan McNabb. The guy is having an MVP year

Walter Jones, bar none is the best football player in the NFL, ask anyone who's played with or against him...maybe a healthy Orlando Pace could be close in that category.

if you don't know who he is you should ask someone who watches football and not just for the fantasy football stats.

Fantasy Football is lame, it's like dungeons and dragons for jocks!

If you don't judge it on past accomplishments I would have to say Mcnabb on the offense and either DeAngelo Hall or Brian Urlacher on Defense These guys play at an incredibly high level week in week out.
