the problem ( now resolved) was that there was e.coli in some spinach, there was a national recall untill they tracked it down.

people were told to dispose of any raw spinach they had,
almost 100 people nation wide were ill, and I think 2-3 died from it

I think if you look in yahoo news for last week, you will find it

the e.coli was from them processing the spinach in the feild ( for freshness) with contaminated water,

wow, you must be the last person to not know
Traces of E.coli virus were found in FRESH spinach coming out of California. They removed all fresh spinach from the grocery shelves for a couple of weeks. Now they say its safe again, but I cant help but notice your screen name pic is a baby, so if you're a parent of young kids, I'd stay away for a while longer. I don't believe frozen spinach was ever a threat.
Now, they are finding traces of E.coli in the water in lettuce fields. So next they may be removing lettuce from shelves as well...

you should really catch up on your current events, maybe enter the 21st century and watch tv, read a newspaper. there was a problem with spinach about 2 weeks ago with e.coli. nothing to worry about now the cdc and fda say it is fine.
