My hubby gets upset most of the time when he calls and I'm too busy to talk. Especially if he calls 2 or more times and I can't talk, or if I get too busy to call him back soon, he gets an attitude. Though I try to talk quietly, so I don't get in trouble for personal calls. How about you?

We are at this time BOTH at work. He has a cell phone. And I answer phones at work (secretary)

We usually talk while at work only if it's something important. My wife called me yesterday because the new fridge she bought was too big to fit into the house's space for it, and she thought she was going to have to remove a dividing wall. Yikes! So, it usually has to be something kind of big. We probably talk less often than once a week. Your hubby sounds somewhat immaturely insecure, I'm sorry to say.

I talk to my husband many times a day. Of course my work is at home which makes it much easier. I do understand what you mean though. My husband is a recruiter and sometimes I call him and he is too busy, I used to get upset but the way I had to look at it was, he is trying to work and provide for his family, so be patient, he will call as soon as he gets a second. As long as I remember that, I don't get annoyed that he doesn't answer.

Some guys can't seem to win for trying. So many women complain there husbands don't pay enough attention to them. I'd say be happy he's making time out of his day just for a quick hello and to hear your voice. Okay your at work so sometimes are inappropriate like in a meeting and such. but im sure there is sometime in your day where you have a moment. only polite to give him a quick call back. and if thats impossible. inform him how thought ful a jesture it was but honey its a really bad time. but love you and thanks for calling we'll chat later when i get home. anything is better than hurting his feelings. put yourself in his shoes. I commend the man for trying and that he wants to hear from his wife. So many me i read on here could give to shits what women want.
Try to bring balance to this. He probably gets his nose out of joint cause \he's feeling rejected from you specially if it happens alot.
And don't forget you still get a lunch break and two breaks inbetween make time for him.
I think he'll understand better if you let him know your day is going to be hectic at work and you have a big project on the go. Communicate it to him. so he isn't left wondering the wrong reasons as you why you don't have time for his calls.

My ex-husband would call me good morning, and then at about 3 to say hello. So we'd chat 2 or 3 times a day. But he was a chatty kind of person. And I liked that.
My new guy is busy at work and has an important job so I only call him when necessary, then he chats when he gets home.
If you have expressed to your guy that its difficult for you to chat during the day, and he STILL calls, its his problem, not yours. Relationships are often about adjustments. If he can't make adjustments/acceptions, I would look closer at his "control" issues. Just my opinion.

My husband and i talk only if its life threatening. He goes into work earlier than i do so i call him for a minute or two while i am getting the kids ready in the morning for school. Alot of times he can't talk long since he is a roofer but i always understand that he is busy.

He has to understand that youre at a business and have work to do. He is not being considerate if he knows you could get into trouble and perhaps lose your job for taking personal calls at work. I only talk to my boyfriend during his lunch break understanding that hes working. Maybe you could suggest this to him.

I do like to talk to my spouse while I'm at work... My boss don't... But anytime I can I usually try to call her and tell her that I love her. Even if it's just for 15 or 20 seconds... Just want her to know...

Never talk to my hubby while at work - if on a rare occasion I do, it's for two minutes max. He never gets upset and I never get upset if I don't talk to him while he is at work. I understand that he is AT WORK, TO WORK.....

We usually don't talk until we get home. If we call each other at work, it is usually very important.
