My best Christmas memory: I was recently divorced from my childrens father. I was living in a trailer with my mom and my younger brother. We had hardly anything but loving Christmas the way we did and being crafty, we turned that trailer into a Winter Wonderland, nothing was untouched by Christmas....even the bathroom. My kids had been with thier dad before Christmas and they were going to spend Christmas Eve with him and his new wife and they were going to bring them over early Christmas morning.

To show the importance of this, I need to say that he was a marine, this was in North Carolina and my relationship with him and his wife was volitale and painful.

On Christmas Eve it started to snow, rarely did it snow in that part of N.C. It snowed all night. By morning there was 4 feet of snow which looked like 10. We had no phone and the roads were closed. We live pretty far off the main road which was open.
I was so depressed and sad as the morning ticked away. I wanted my kids with me. They were 5, 4 & 2 at the time. As I sat there crying, my brother started to shout to look out the window. When I did, I saw three people trudging through the deep snow with bundled kids on their backs and presents in their arms. It was my ex, his wife and another marine. They had driven as far as they could and walked the rest of the way. It reminded me of the three kings bringing the gifts to Jesus.

I can't tell you how much that meant to me and how it changed and healed our relationship. I will never forget that Christmas. I still have one toy each that they had gotten that year and the present that they had made for me. I cherish them. Those kids are 22, 21 and19 now.

I hope everyone remembers to just love people this christmas and always.

I think my favorite Christmas memories are from my childhood when my parents were still married and we could have a real family Christmas!!!!!!!! Being a kid and going to Grandma's house for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!!!!!!!! Peeking at all the gifts under the tree looking for our names on the packages and shaking them to see if we could figure out what was inside!!! Just having a real family Christmas was so great!!! Sitting around the table eating dinner together, singing, having fun, and not having to worry about how life was going to be in the future. Also, my parents would take me to this house that was decorated in our area where we were living and there was someone dressed up as Santa and I would tell him what I wanted for Christmas and got my candy cane from Santa!!!

Now, with my parents being divorced.....we have Christmas Eve at my sister's house and have Christmas Day Breakfast with my dad and his girlfriend!!!! My favorite christmas memories as an adult is getting together with special friends and going up to Christmas Lane together, seeing all the big houses that are totally lit up and decorated and being out with the people in the community. Then going back to my friend's house to have desert and open our gifts that we got for each other!!!!!!!!!! My other favorite memories from a few years ago, was going down to the beach and taking a harbor cruise and seeing all the houses and boats that were decorated along the harbor.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my favorite memories!!!!!!!! Merry Christmas (early) to you and have a great day!!!!!!

I've only done the whole holiday thing for about 15 years since I got married. I was raised Jewish so christmas was just a boring day back then. In other words, I really have no memories as a child. My favorite memories are when friends and family come over with all the kids and they all rip open presents.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Even though my dad died many years ago, I still miss him terribly, and the holiday season is always bitter sweet with memories.

As far as my favorite memory...it's hard to pick as I'm now a grandma and I see things in a new perspective. Yet, one of my most favorite memories is when I was about 4. It comes to mind as though it was yesterday and it was nearly 50 years ago.

It was a cold, Colorado night, the air crisp and clear. My parents had bundled us all up and we were going to the candle light Christmas Eve service at our church. The snow reflected the moonlight as we drove, and I could see the soft luminous glow from the candles before we entered the church. I felt the hushed anticipation of the revealing of God's greatest gift to mankind as we entered the doors, and my eyes consumed the beauty of the glowing candles lighting the sanctuary. Add to that the warmth of the building and the loving smiles of the people as we entered, and the memory became etched in my mind. It is one of my most treasured memories.

May you find many memorable times throughout your life.

I was probably 7 or 8 at the time and that was a looooong time ago. I also got 20 dollars from my grandfather after all the packages were opened and we were eating Christmas breakfast.

My favorite part of Christmas was when I was a child and my brother and I would go to midnight mass with my parents on Christmas Eve then come home and open the gifts under the tree and they were always great gifts. Then we went to sleep and we could all sleep in because we already opened our gifts.

my favorite and what has been annual for as long as I have been alive and that is almost 39 years, is the tradition of making all different kinds of Christmas cookies and candies, and making up so much because when we are done baking and creating we fill up our list of family and friends names and make 'goody boxes' for them...the amount for each depending on the family sizes...I know my Mom has been doing this all of her adult life and she was 27 when she had me...I know one thing that is precious that my Mom loves doing is listening to Christmas music while we are baking, and I always smile when I listen to her sing, even if she sings off-key. She told me a long time ago while we were in church that God doesn't care if we sing well or not, as long as we sing..I hope you and everyone everywhere who reads this has a wonderful upcoming holiday season that is filled with wonderful memories...take care...and God bless

My parents had 5 kids, and we were not very rich, but every Christmases was very special and magic. The one I remember most was my two older sisters waking me up to go in the lounge to see what was under the tree, and there were our three first and most beautiful ever bicycles! We rode all day and more than 25 years away, we still talk about it...
