A friend of mine's mother was a patient there in the 50's. Spent 2 years there. She says a lot of those rumors are not true - like the nurse committing suicide.

It is a tremendously huge spooky building. If any place were to be haunted, that one should be. Lots of misery there.

Ever see that dreadful movie "Death Tunnel"?

Some say it is haunted, I am in australia and there is one book that i have read that mentions it only very slightly though, unfortunatley i can't remember the name of the book! below is a site that thinks it is haunted so please go ahead and have a look a quick search on yahoo reveals lots of sites for and against.

I spent the night there in May and didn't experience anything, except lots of bats, but nothing paranormal. I did catch a strange sigh on my recorder I left in a closet.

I believe it is. I've been there and it's very creepy. Friend of mine got some pictures of a lot of strange orbs and a transparent face in the death tunnel.
