Hope I'm reading the question correctly.
Answer?
No, of course not. The British Empire spent much treasure and uncounted lives defending the colonials from French and Indian aggression. They were, after all, the same people.
The parsimonious colonists then refused to help pay for these wars through taxes levied by the home country.
Basically it was all about economics. If you want to fight a war about economics then the colonists were justified.
Just a minority opinion.

Your question isn't phrased very well; however, since Independence wasn't declared until almost 15 months after Lexington and Concord. The representatives of the 13 colonies met in Philadelphia primarily for two reasons. 1) It was a major city fairly centrally between the New England states and the Southern States. 2) Many of the New England and Mid Adlantic States representatives to the Continental Congress had been forced to leave their homes or face being arrested for treason by the British authorities.

I think if you read some you will find out that they simply felt that they were not being treated fairly as British subjects. Taxes, no representation, and all that.

Plus the recognized inherent right of any people to revolt against the government for just cause, which, by the way, is probably why any Oath of Office in the US, is worded to include allegiance to the Constitution and a promise not to be a party to overthrow of the government by other than peaceful means.

England had levied a series of taxes on the colonists to help pay for the french and, indian wars. the colonists argued that if they were to pay these taxes, they should have representation in parliament. they protested against taxation without representation.
