Im in a point in my life when I need to decide what I am going to do with my life next? Im getting my Bachelors in psychology in December of next year, and am unsure if I should try to get into medical school to eventually become a psychiatrist or graduate school to eventually become a psychologist. I know the obvious differences, money, schooling, etc... but any other opinions on whcih I should choose? I do plan on getting my PhD in either also.

i would choose the psychiatrist with the phd....

Why?

Because you have options opened on both ends. You can be a psychologist and if you decide to do psychiatry, the schooling is all completed. It aslo helps to have the psychiatry training and phd for clinical psyhology. If it turns out that psychiatry is not for you, its easier to just become a psychologist then to try to do it the other way around later.

Good luck

adn good for you
