I don't know, because it costs too much money to even go see a movie these days never mind the popcorn! But I imagine it's probably worth its weight in gold by now.

Ticket prices and snacks cost so much because the theater has to cover the cost for the movies they by from the picture companies, each movie cost them a ton, so they pass the costs onto us. Now only if they can keep the gum off the floors, so it does not get on our shoes.

The "bargain" price of about 10 bucks. Or you could get a "combo deal" of popcorn and a drink for like 13.
Add to that the admission price (9-18 bucks) and it's officially a waste of money.

I think they're about $27 a kernel out here in MD. They have banks at the door willing to give you a loan if you want to buy some.
Actually, it's $7 for a large tub - $4.50 for a small. I always sneak stuff in and just buy a drink.

y'all need to come to upstate newyork.. where i go to the movies the a large popcorn is $4.50 w/ one free refill.. if you play your cards right that can end up feeding quite a few friends for pretty damn cheap
