Its not like it used to be when I was young. Gone are the days when groups of students would sit about in clothes with holes in and patches on the elbows talking about world politics and the state of the nation. Now nearly every student has a part time job, wears designer clothes and drinks at juice bars rather than the student union. There is no such thing as a full time student now and nobody takes advantage of the intelligent minds around them.
Good place to go and develop your social skills and maybe build up your 'old boys network', but while everybody else is going to lectures, you could have 3 more years working experience under your belt and be much more employable.

First year is a shock cause u realise u actually have to do work n it's not like it is on tv. By second year u should b settled in but if u r like me n ur uni is big u will still get lost. Plus beware of mature students they will try n parent u n complain when u come in hungover then discuss what it was like when they were young.

Most modern universites have become diploma issuing factories within which the needs of intelligent people who want to learn have a much lower priority that the needs of researchers who sit at home in their basement, writing articles for journals that even their best friends - their monthers - don't want to read.
The answer? Practical ways can be found to use this electronic medium for constructive, higher educational purposes.

High school was OK, University also, but at the beginning. Now (my last year) we work individually, we don't have classes or lectures together, so I feel lonely.. People want to finish it up, they do serious things, parties are not so common...
But - it was, during first 2 years, the best period in my life..

Bigger the place, more the problems. 200 students in a class with a professor who will never know you by face. unless you stay focus, you'll be sleeping drunk in some frathouse that you dont remember going to
