I need to go to a GYN doctor for the first time. What should I expect?

Your doctor will have you lie down on a table naked from the waist down, though you might be covered with a paper blanket on top of you.
Your feet will be up in stirrups. There will be a lamp shining on your bottom that feels very warm.
She will insert a tool (slathered in KY jelly so it goes in easily) in your vagina that pries it open so she can see what's going on. Then she will take a swab to take samples from your insides. This often causes camping and can be uncomfortable. Just breathe deeply. This doesn't last long at all. Then she'll gently pull the tool out and it's done.
Out of politeness to your doctor, I recommend you shower just before the appointment.

Be expected to take your pants off and unhook your bra.
You'll have to lay on a table while the gynecologist sticks stuff in you, one is kind of like a shoe horn and the other is like a camera thing to view your ovaries.
You have to unhook your bra so the gynecologist can feel for lumps in your breasts.
It's not as bad as it sounds.

It' like going to any doctor,they just do a litter more detail then other doctors.

That depends on what you are being seen for. Overall, it is just like going to any doctor.

tools, fingers and ky in your cooter, not painful generally, but uncomfortable. They will also give you a breast exam and an overall general heath care look.
