If everyone were shown love and forgiveness from birth, and were in an environment that fostered unity amongst people of different cultures, how would that effect the psychology of the masses? What would happen to war, issues of race, sexual orientation, etc.?

these three things could solve many of human kinds problems, almost all evil in our world is caused by disassociated peoples who want to feel "better" than those who they feel look down upon them .most of these types feel belittled by their own insecurities and then lash out at those who are different than themselves.....they cannot live near anyone different than them because their own insecurities cause a feeling of fear, or shame ...or ? .............example; america was the" Evil " occupier in iraq but now that an end to that is somewhat near it is now the other islamic sect who they must kill (sunni vs. shiite) they must have someone to blame these problems and insecurities on rather than face the fact that they ,like all of us are human, flawed, and mostly responsible for our own situations..personally i do not know the religious "sect" that most of my neighbors belong to , but i love them all, we are in this world (block, town ,state ,country)together!!!!!

they're not difficult to exercise if u have those quality urself first. if u do then u can pass those on to ur own kids. not everyone is same. these are some of the qualities that makes us different from the next person. a person inherently has some good and some bad qualities no matter what their surrounding environment may be. there are people who were born in difficult household situations but through their own smartness and other qualities they come out of it

Enjoy!!

I think you are asking the nature nurture question. If everyone was nurtured--loved, given forgiveness, taught to respect differing views would the issues we have exist.

I am not sure the issues would disappear, but I am sure that they would be altered significantly.

If only there were a way to test your theory.

Religion gets in the way. Chirst said in effect go make everybody Christian. Mohammed said almost the same thing. Only the far eastern faiths let you be but then they are kinked on civil oder. Can't win for losing.
