I was never immunized as a child. I decided to get them done now. I just had Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus, Polio, Meningitis, and MMR. They used both arms, thank goodness, but now both arms hurt soooooooo bad. What can I do to relieve the pain? I also have to go back for second and third doses of these. I don't know how I can suffer through this again!!!

I am having lots of shots yearly, because i work in the tropics.

Best remedy against the pain is to simply sleep it off (if work/school allows it), with some paracetamol and drinking lots of water.

It's like a severe musle ache, like overdoing sports, so a gentle strechting before and after sleep will help too.

Don't worry, just go through it again. It's only for a while and it saves you from scary deseases............

Tetanus shots make your muscles sore. If it really bothers you, ask your doctor what kinds of OTC analgesics you can take. But the pain will go away on it's own in a day or two.

talk to your doctor, they should have told you to anticipate the pain, being older. I know my kids arms were a bit sore, they just took some tylenol. Glad you got immunized though, an ounce of prevention . . .

It'll ease in a few days, you can take some common over-the-counter pain relievers in the meantime.

take some tylenol, and put some cold on those arms. packages of frozen peas or corn work great wrapped in a cloth.

You should have had them done years ago and not so many at once. The only thing you can do it take pain killers.
