When / where would you go - but - consider it only a one way ride. Consider the span of your life you have left in your answer and what else would be happening while you lived out your life.

I would go to the mid 1940s in USA to see Jackie Robinson break into the big leagues, to see the ***** leagues, just a lot of cool baseball history in the making. I also love the 20's, but I wouldn't want to have to live through the great depression, so I chose the 40's. There would be enough modern amenities, and I'd miss some of the worst times of US history like the wars.

You certainly are a baseball fan - very interesting choice...the late 40s were almost 'romantic' - the war was over, family values were cherished...dads worked outside, mom always home, meals together...a nice time, for sure!

Mine would be to go back to 1960 (I was 3-yes, I'm old), but be somewhat older to really appreciate what was happening...Elvis Presley, The Beatles, President Kennedy and 'Camelot' (and the whole Kennedy 'thing'), The Peace March & M L King Jr, Hippies, rising of the true Rock n Roll and 'heavy metal', to really be able to enjoy 1967-Canada's Centennial (it was a huge party cross-country), and my Toronto Maple Leafs winning their last Stanley Cup ('67 and still waiting!), Woodstock, and the Peace, Love, Flower Power, a little older for 'Man Lands On Moon' (1969), be able to know/understand VietNam more...in other words, although I lived through most of this, I would love to go back as an older person, being at least 16 in 1960...it is difficult to realize after saying all this, for whatever reason, it seemed like a happier and carefree time, especially the early 60s - seemed almost ideal...could be 'cause I lost my dad in 1965 when I was only 8 yrs old...("to each his own"!)

I would say the 70's still living in NYC and having a ball.!!!!! That old skool music, especially hip-hop; watching the street ballers and hearing the DJ spin on a huge turntable. Running to the ice cream truck or the snowcone man. Man! I miss NYC Boogie down Bronx

The past is so yesterday.

We have more knowledge now, and we have a good deal more mental and social freedom. The past always seems a bit rosy and cozy, but it really was in many ways, worse than now. As far as missing wars, WW II occured througout most of the 40's.

Yikes, thats a tough one. I would either go back to the disco era with all the crazy clubs and the Ecstacy and the passionate making out on the dance floor. OR...I would go back to the 70's with the flowers and the peace signs and long hair and the laid back laws and stuff like that.

Its hard to say, it sucked a lot for black people in the past. I guess I would say the 60's in NYC. I would wanna see Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder and all the greats play live back then when music was MUSIC!

I'd go back to 1970 but, ONLY if I could be the same age I was then! Oh, and I'd also want to write myself a few notes, before I left, to follow as I did it all over!!!

I'd go back to ancient times and be in the ark with Noah and his family and all the animals. Then stay there with them until the end of my days.

(I don't really like how we all turned out anyway, turning away from God to the earthly treasures).
