I found a site that looked cheap but the shipping and handeling was so expensive. Most of the time Shiny colored lace is more expensive then regular or tri colored lace.

Go to your local fabric store. They have all kinds of string and other materials.

go to dumpsters and use recycled materials.
it's free and helps the world plus a great bonus to have
recycled materials in the lanyards.

check out a local army/navy surplus store... ask for 550 cord (military p'chute cord) usually comes in colors. although traditional is o.d. green. Good luck!
