Son, you are lost . First off, South is the same direction no matter where you are, as is north. If you want to go south relative to where you are that's is a different story.
Did you remember to leave a trail of bread crumbs ?
Are you sure you are at the North pole and not the South pole? Keep walking until you see some penguins. Then you will know you have gone south.
