I hollered the "murder" card till I got pregnant and knew I couldn't take care of it. Its easy to form opinions when you don't actually have to act on it...

Abortion is OK, in the sense that it should be entirely the woman's decision.

See it all comes down to the freedom of choice issue. Think of it this way: would you let a man or an organised religion order decide for you if you are to keep an unborn foetus from a rape? I mean why would raped women have to carry and birth unwanted children from criminals? It's an intense concept but a valid one I think.

I see it as Pro-Choice: The woman should have 100% of the CHOICE to get an abortion or not. Pro-Choice is no necessarly pro-abortion but it's about the CHOICE a woman can make, period. She shouldn't have the church nor any man involved in the decision making process.

I believe abortion should be legal and "free", and that it's up to the woman to decide what's right for her.

Of course, there's always going to be abuse, so it's not a black and white situation to begin with...

I don't support abortion when it is abused. There are girls out there who sleep with every man they can and then just go and abort the babies--I think that is very, very wrong on many levels.

BUT, if a woman has been raped or if they have reason to fear for their baby's mental health and future happiness, as well as their own health (severely poor, carrier of a disease, too young to have a child, etc), they should be able to have the option.

This is tricky....I believe you have the 1st 3 months to decide after that the blood as entered the babys veins and it has a soul. Those particial birth abortions (you are just evil). I believe adoption is an option but not for everyone. Every adopted child has their own views on what happened to them. If I were raped and got oregnant I would abort it but that's just me everyone has their own morals. If it was my fault I got pregnant I'd keep it and try my best to be a good mother. I don't like adoption....maybe because I'm one of those kids.

I can tell you that I believe that no one has the right to dicate what people can do with their bodies, woman or otherwise. It's a personal choice that I feel each person has to make for themeselves. The government has no say in what women can do as long as it poses no threat to society. There are different reasons as to why people do what they do and I am not in any place or authority nor will I ever be to judge anyone. But as far as whether it is right for "me", no it is not. It is simply my personal choice not to have an abortion. Do I respect women who make other choices? Yes. Do I think the government should have any say? No.

I'm not going as far as to say abortion is "ok", but, it's no one's business but the woman's as to whether the pregnancy progresses. It's not the government's, it's not society's. Hank Williams Sr said it best, "Mind your own business and you won't be minding mine."

Too many people think they should force their opinions on others, and I find that totally repugnant. Until you walk in that person's shoes, you can't say what's best for them, so, do yourself and them a favor: if you cannot say something constructive, hush your mouth.

I don't think any woman goes into the decision of having an abortion lightheartedly, and, having people raise h*ll and call her a murderess and other derogatory names doesn't help the situation.

Abortion should not be birth control HOWEVER I don't believe it is murder either. That is my personal opinion and one shared by women for millennium. There are circumstances that require abortion and should never be denied to any woman seeking help. Women have been controlling their own reproductive system for many many thousands of years and only in the last hundred years or so have they forgotten how to take care of themselves and have been seeking help from male doctors who think they have dominion and then the church got involved and now it's an evil sin...blah blah blah.

As long as it isn't abused (sadly it is by some women who are completely brain dead in these matters - duh use a condom use the pill etc) then abortion is an acceptable alternative to the mental anguish associated with rape and incest provided you are of strong mind or to be used in cases of severe malformation and risk to your own health.

i think abortion is up to the mother. i personally dont think that id ever be able to do it. if the mother is the victim of rape or it is a health danger, then im okay with it. in some other situations, i dont approve, but it is the mothers choice. and i certainly dont think that any government, particularly one that is mostly male has a right to tell a women wether or not she can have an abortion

The term "OK"rubs me the wrong way! It's never OK for anyone to have to go through something that life changing! However Abortion is an individual choice that should be available to all women, especially young women.

I'm not going to say if it's right or wrong, but for the people who want to use the Bible as an argument as to why it's wrong, there are several passages that state that a fetus doesn't have a soul, and that if a pregent woman is murdered, only she is murdered, not the unborn child.

it depends on the reason . i had one because i was raped and didn't want the child. then my friend had one because the child was very ill inside of her and the child would not be able to do anything for them self that i think is ok to have an abortion. but just because u didnt feel like using protection . that i think is wrong.
