True, when man is well to do, they'll can easily attract unwanted "woman", if their will is strong, they should be able to resist temptations.
If the small head is ruling the big head, that's it!

That question was very confusing, but I think I understand.
I don't think that there's just one reason why men screw around. I can think of a few:
They aren't getting sex from their wives
Their egos can't stand the idea of being with only one woman
A total lack of understanding about what commitment means
Stupidity
The fact that men have two heads and only enough blood to make one work at at time
etc.

insecurity
fear of a good relationship
fear of being a faithful husband instead of a macho husband
fear of being outside of the box
fear of rejection
fear of failure
just good oh, fear
oh, here is a good one, they wanted a stand in mom to take care of them and have sex with them so they marry them, and have what they want for play and the real reasons a man should marry with the other woman.

Not all man are so, actually rare, most men feel sex with their spouse is more full filling & pleasurable.
On the contray, it brings guilt, sex will be machanical and the satisfaction is absent.

It could be a midlife crisis. Men want to feel like they still got it. If they never had it, they want to feel like they are a laddies man now.

most juz want so-call thrills... some may have problem with their family which others may not know... some may have high sexual desire which his wife can't satisfy him... some may juz wan ONS instead of long relation...
