My wife and I decided when we got engaged that we would forego having our own children. I have an adopted sister. My wife was adopted and discovered her birth mother was also adopted. I'm proud to say that we stuck to our agreement. We have adopted one little girl and are now in the process to adopt another.

i think it is a wonderful idea and it's great to give children a family home.. but unfortunately it can also have some of the toughest consequences of any decision you could ever make.. especially if you aren't adopting an infant. older adopted kids often come with baggage and take a lot of extra work... my parents adopted a 7 year old that they had raised as foster parents since he was 5... some 30 years later now and they say, though they love him they would never recommend adoption to another parent just because it is so tiring, it wore them out to deal with everything.

I think adoption is a great concept. You are giving a home to a child, who otherwise would not have one. Many people cannot have children, so this works perfect. I think you can love a child you adopt as much as if you gave birth to it. I believe it is a win win situation. If you are thinking of it, I'm happy for you.

Well I have always thought it was very wrong. After my second chid I got pregnant again. I knew their was no way I would be able to have that child. So I had an abortiopn. It has been 2 years now and I am very happy with my desision. I would do it A.S.A.P. though. It's almost like taking birth control. It kills the sperm. But it is not right to think of it as being not a big deal. It is and the best way is to stay on the pill that way you dont have to go through that.

Giving stable and loving homes to children who would otherwise grow up without parents is the best idea ever.

Instead of messing around with artificial means like IVF to have more babies than you can handle, you can spend the same amount to adopt a child.

adoption is a great thing. why keep a child in a home where it's not wanted, loved, or able to be cared for when it can have a wonderful life with a loving family?

I feel as if you adopting then that is great. However, if you are giving up a child for adoption.... ah well I think it would be OK if you honestly feel as if you can give you child a better life then what you can give him or her.
