I don't have any problems with Bush - but Rumsfeld gets a negative rating and his actions are reflecting on Bush's approval rating. Cheney is another crook. With Rumsfeld and Cheney on staff, I give Bush a 6. Without the two, I'd give him a 9.

I will personally go with a 6.5

I like the effort against terror. I like that we built the dept of Homeland Security. I like that he has attempted to improve the educational standard (even if it needs more work). I like the tax cuts. I think the economy is the best it has been in a LONG while and definitely in the right direction with slow steady growth. I do like that he sticks to his guns on finishing the war and using most any means to gain information from terrorists who are out to harm us in many ways.

I do not like that it is taking so long to have a good effort for border security. I do not like that the tax cuts have not been made permanent. I do not like that the budget has not been cut enough (Welfare handouts, endowments for the arts, etc). I am not all that thrilled with his judge appointments. I do not think they are pressuring Iraq enough in the buildup of its own security forces.

I consider him and his administration slightly above average.

Good job it only goes up to 10. Republican supporters struggle after that.

8, he needed to do better on the border. Harriet Meyers wasn't so good either.
