wheels have hubs (in the center - where the spokes connect)
but you are probably looking for a computer hub.
hub is the central point where all the computers in your house connect, then it would be connected to your service provider.
you may not have a separate hub.
hubs are mostly replaced by switches.
hubs were simply a physical connecting point.

If you do not have enough usb connections on your computer, to plug everything that you have, you can buy a hub. It will connect to one of your usb slots, and it will have another 4-5 connections that you could use. It's like if you have an electric socket, with 2 outlets, and you need more, to plug in more appliances, you would buy an extender or lead cord, where you could plug in 4 or 5 different appliances. It's the same principal, as that, only for your computer connections..

A hub is a device usually found in a computer network. It takes in one network cable and distributes it to many other computers. It's an easy and inexpensive way to expand your computer network.
