I consider Friday the 13th good luck. It has gotten a bad rap for years. Just like the 13th floor of hotels that a lot of them call 14. Like we aren't going to realize that the floor that comes after 12 is not 14 but 13! A lot of sports people won't wear the number 13. Not the Russian hockey players, though! They seem to love it!

King Phillip IV and Pope Clement V became jealous of the Templar Knights wealth and prestige across Christiandom and ordered the entire order of the Templar arrested and killed on Friday October 13, 1307. The Templar Knights were the greatest fighting unit of the Crusades and had become too powerful for the Pope and King. The Templars were accused of a number of false charges by the King and Church. Throughout the Medieval world on this day the Templars were destroyed.

The worst that could happen is that you will worry about this and later feel regret being unnecessarily concerned about bad luck.

I don't blame you, because of all the hype, but consider this.... we often create goodness or a bad situation based on our own attitude.

I am 54 years old, and for as long as I can remember being able to reason this out, I have considered Friday the 13th a Good Luck Day. I also make a point to share positive stories, random acts of kindness, make people feel happy and therefore lucky, and pass on positive "energy". I tell people how blessed we are to have this day to share gratitude about the good fortunes in this life.

It never fails that Friday the 13th brings me good luck and I look forward to it... both because goodness comes my way, and also because I look forward to making others feel happy.

Having an 'attitude of gratitude' is worth so much. I realize that it can't change all the negative in the world, but we can create something positive in our corner of the earth!!!!!!!!

Oh.. BTW... I wish you the very best of luck this coming Friday. I feel *sure* that something very special will happen to you.

Dance to your delight, make someone's day bright, avoid or prevent a fight, smile to everyone in sight, this statement is quite spontationous so it is somewhat trite, but if it makes your smile bright, I have no fright that it was worth the .......
.....
~~~~ effort.
::sigh:: oh my...
(What a plight.)
well i have to work that night, and if you have ever worked overnight by yourself at a very busy gas station/convenience store on a friday night you would know that it is hell to begin with. but on times like a friday the 13th or with a full moon it really does bring out alot more crazies. nothing like arguing with a bunch of angry violent drunks at 2:00 am because its too late to sell them alcohol. and to make it better the manager doesnt work weekends so i get the hassle of doing all the paperwork for the day, if that isnt really fun. if i had it my way that night i would sit at home, invite a good friend over to get trashed and spend the night and watch horror movies all night. a box of ritz crackers and a cheese ball and a large pizza would get mixed in with that also. damn im gonna hate this friday night.
Everyone could sit around and rot their minds watching bad acting, bad hair, bad clothes, and bad special effects on the Friday the 13th movies.
The worst that could happen is that my plane is hijacked or crashes, or my ferry sinks while I'm on my way to see our mates in Greece.
See the "snopes.com" link for the full deal on why Friday 13th is considered to be unlucky.
I could be forced to work all day instead of skipping out early! AHHHH, the horror.
It is just a superstition. Doesnt mean anything. Like why isnt Friday the 7th a super lucky day?
It's all just superstition and crap! There is no such thing as luck and the only way for things such as FT13 to work is by you making it happen.
If you just ignore the bad association with it I guarantee nothing will happen and if something should it's just a matter of coincidence.
