I believe its a fungus from a pedicure. I have been using this anti-fungral since August (probably not as regularly as I should) and it won't go away! Help!

Its probably a fungus like you suspect. The over the counter cures don't always work and even if they do it will take months to see a clearer nail. It has to grow out. That's if you use the anti fungal as directed. More than likely it won't help. DO NOT use nail polish to hide it because it you paint your other nails with the same nail polish and it is a fungal infection it can be carried over to those nails and you will have a bigger problem on more nails. See your doctor and they can prescribe an oral medication to take for fungal infections. But remember it still takes time to clear it up. Sometimes as long as six months. Also pedicures in a salon are one of the top places to get fungal nail infections. So I would stick to pedicures at home. Good Luck

My toenail turned black under the nail and it was because I had a blood blister under the nail from dropping a toy on my toe. It has to grow out by itself. I have found nail polish covers it up pretty well with a dark shade.

I get black under my toenails on my little toes, but it is because I am always stubbing them on tables and stuff. I'm pretty sure this last time I broke my left one because the whole toe was black and blue for 2 weeks, and the toenail is 1/2 black.

you're porbably just going to have to grow it out. Paint them a pretty color to hide it till then!
