London all the way!
Hello, American living in London, visiting friends in Paris at the moment.
There is a strong sense of organisation in London, especially the transportation sysytems. Pub have more of a sense of community than cafe's. The upkeep is better there. Of all the place I've gone to in the world, I've made the best friends I've ever had in London. London is like a playground for adults.
On the other hand, I guess I'm a bit biased, because I work in theatre, I dont speak French and my friend here hate Paris.

London! London is the most cosmopolitan, with a greater selection of cuisine, music, art, culture etc. The transport system is pretty good (and getting better) and the London powers-that-be (that nice Mt Livingstone) are making efforts to improve the city and its cleanliness.
Although the Paris Metro is good, I found the rest of Paris to be slightly disappointing and a little bit shabby.

I spent time in both and I like them for different reasons. But I would have to go with Paris, it is a prettier city I think and London is too expensive. I not saying that Paris isn't but it is still more affordable than London.

London. A lot more activity and more lively. Paris gets old after a while if you are not the artsy type. If you do not speak perfect French, everyone will talk down to you too. So definitely London.

that's in no way a solid theory to paint an entire usa with the comparable brush. of direction not all French hate the English. in case you lived there you may run into some ingrained attitudes in the long-term, although. My cousin has lived in Paris for 4 years now or maybe although she's fluent in French from a French-speaking mom, there are some people who do not settle for her. i like to bypass to the two Paris and London yet i'm extra of a usa individual. i don't prefer to stay in the two!

I prefer London as in Paris most of the people are not very hygienic, they seem to think spraying perfume etc on themselves rather than washing is OK.
