Not many people know it, but Bob Keeshan was a decorated war hero. He won the Silver Star or something. [The Silver Star being just below a CMH.] Lee Marvin-also a combat veteran- was on the Tonight Show [Johnny Carson era] talking about this tough, kick *ss, sonofab*tch he knew during the war who saved his life. He was referring to Bob Keeshan.
