Why does Frank Lampard think that a game of football consists of thumping the ball from the half way line and missing by a mile, and why the hell is one foot Carrager (right only) playing on the left?

Yes, playing like a bunch of fairies. That defeat has been coming for a while now. They have been doddering around, playing clueless negative football for a few months. Don't seem to have any idea at the moment how to create chances. Spent more time passing the ball backwards than anywhere else. Croatia were on the front foot right from the word go. They got stuck in. They got the ball forwards and their two goals were their just rewards.
England are definitely missing Owen, Cole, Gerrard, Hargreaves and maybe yes, Beckham. Plus Lampard and Rooney aren't firing on all cylinders but they will given time (form is temporary, class is permanent) but any team with aspirations of winning major tournaments need to go to these types of hostile places, and beat these livewire types of teams.
Plenty for McClaren and Venables to ponder over the next few months.

absolutely f*****g useless, they have so much money that the small matter of a football game doesn't really matter to them, I need them to draw anyway because it's part of my bet.
