I applied for a passport at the postoffice, how long will i have to wait until I receive my passport?

I applied for mine in late November and got mine in late January. The Passport office said that they try to finish within 6 weeks of receiving it from the Post Office (which can take 2 months+ if they are busy)

You can call a few weeks before if it doesn't look like it'll be there on time and they will let you know when you'll get it. You can pay the rush fees at that time if it won't get there ($60 + FedX charges). That's what I had to do. You can also check the status online.

Between 6 and 8 weeks, unless you paid the extra 100 bucks to expedite processing. In that case, less than 4 weeks.
