Carrots for insect bites.
I've personally used carrot on a yellow-jacket sting, and it never swelled. The person who told me about it used it on a brown recluse spider bite (it rots the flesh!) and it healed completely.
Here's what you do:
Grate enough carrot to completely cover the area of the bite. Put in a small container and (just) cover with water. Place in the microwave for about a minute to heat. Place on bite and cover with bandage. Replace every 24 hours until all evidence of bite is gone.

Grapefruit seed extract for colds/sore troats/nail bed infections/wash for cuts, abrasions ets/disinfectant etc. Absolutely brilliant. Tastes vile, though. Just like chewing a grapefruit seed. Check biochemresearch.com/citricidal.
It's not cheap but you only need a few drops at a time. Disinfects drinking water in "dodgy"countries, too!

If you have a wart or verruca that just can't be shifted, pick dandelion leaves. The white oozy stuff that comes from the cut stalks leaves a bt of a mess, but nothing shifts warts better!

Emu Oil is great for irritated skin. It's an old aboriginal cure.

Pure Aloe Gel is also great for minor skin conditions, in particular, sun burn. It does need to come fresh from the plant though...bottled gel that has sat about is useless.

The best I've come across is Echinacea (I use resistance drops)
to keep colds and flus away. I used to catch flus regularly but since I started taking echinacea I never get one now.
Also pure aloe vera is brilliant for burns.

Drink some milk to help get rid of charlie horses. It seems to work for me, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with that dreaded muscle spasm in my calf muscles and I go down and get a drink of milk and I don't get them again, until I'm low on calcium again.
